You enjoy all that life has to offer, and you can appreciate the fine tastes and sites of Paris.
You're the perfect person to wander the streets of Paris aimlessly, enjoying architecture and a crepe.
ith the first snow of the season falling Well Charged headed off to Hamilton to play at the famous Pepper Jack Cafe. Opening for Hamilton's own Riddim Riders (Big Ups to the Riddim Riders for an awesome set!), Well Charged played an energetic set which included old favoutites Rukkus and How Come along with new songs like That One (B-sec).
The night also featured new guitar players Derrick and Steve. It was also nice to see Magnus out playing the bongos.
It was a great time and it was nice to see new faces and old friends. I look forward to doing this again soon.
I got some new gear and Well Charged is back in the studio recording some live licks and finishing up the rest of the album. There are another 8 Wicked tracks coming along...
A CD release party is being planned for November. It looks like the E-Bar will be the location... stay tuned... this will be a good one.
Don't forget to check out Winston Birthday Bash at Well Charged Music, 85 MacDonell St, Guelph on Saturday, Sept. 30th. It's the last day of the month. There will be music, munchies and a whole heap of fun. Hope to see you there.
Communication is a wonderful thing though for the most part it's a very difficult task to accomplish consistently well. Apart for the he said, she said rhetoric which gets nowhere unless you look into yourself it is useful to understand more about the power of communication.

2006-02-25, all musicians, learn from our mistakes don't play stephanie's
look without getting into the whole story, dem fools had two djs and THREE bands booked all to play the same space at the same time. instead of sorting out the situation they walked away and left us to deal with it!!! after much preshow stress, we came to our agreements about how it would go down. and for our troubles those fuckers shorted us cash!!!!
so look we ain't tellin y'all where to play, but staphanie's has been a disappointment everytime i've been there. whether it is lack of promotion or triple booking or just plain fuckin people over. so be careful!!!
2006-02-02, Reggae music replaces the need for viagra
scientist confirmed today what we have all known for years. music cures all that ails ya! Here's how it works....first the groove slowly starts to work in the base of the spine acting as a lubricant, loosin'n all the crap you've been carrying around since high school. then comes the rock solid skankin' to keep ya straight and cleanse the body of the day to day stress. Of coarse the lyrics fill the lungs and heart with inspiration and power needed to keep truckin on through the swamp of opressing bullshit that weigh you down.
so as you can see a complete holistic healing
2006-01-28, well charged hits the air with a taste of the new record

We'd like to hear from you out there. Give us a shout at wordup@wellcharged.com or call 519-829-2020.
It's finally nice to have some time to update the web site. I hope everyone is doing well.
It was nice to see everyone out at Chalmer's Church on Thursday for the RSD benefit. Sam and his group pulled off an amazing job putting the benefit together. Well Charged was excited to play and with changes in the line for keys, guitar and drums the short set was busting. Thanks to the talented players, our kick ass horn section and some sweet backup singing you would never know that we had about a weeks worth of prep time.
A big thanks to Sam Turton for having us at the benefit and super big up to Nicky Dread "The Ambassador" for all his support.
The RSD benefit CD is off to manufacture, and the release will be a major
event - in the River Run Centre main hall, Thursday, July 14, from 7:30 -
10:30 pm.
Singers, and artists with songs on the CD are: Ken Brown, Nonie Crete, James
Gordon, Sandy Horne, House of Velvet, Jiwani, Andrew McPherson, Craig
Norris, Passenger (Jim Slansky), Tannis Slimmon, Jesse Stewart, Dave
Teichroeb and the Plaster Cowboys, Sam Turton Band (Jesse Turton, Jane
Lewis, Heather MacRae, Drew McIvor), and Well Charged (Winston Cole).
Winston was in Ken Brown's studio last week to sing some tracks for the upcoming "NOT THERE" BENEFIT CD FOR RSD. He added vocal parts for the theme song Not There. As well, Well Charged was glad to contribute their song Gangstament to be part this compilation CD. The CD will include songs from local artists and will be sold to raise money to help pay the legal bills for the RSD's action against Walmart locating in the North End next to the Jesuit retreat. Sam Turton is heading up this campaign and more information can be found here.
We have finally been given the rights to publish an article about Winston by Wendy Glauser. You can read it here.
Here is an sample: Cole lives in the woods outside Guelph, and bikes to and from his store. In his store, Guelphites of different descents come together to watch Jamaican movies, eat Jamaican patties, play dominoes and share stories. "Rastas believe the more you are together, the happier you should be," Cole says.
We had a great time at Wally's last week. Creg did a phenomenal job playing sax with us. The following MP3s are available from the show. These were done on my Cybershot digital camera and recorded by Nicky Dread.

Vacation has ended for me and I have to stop being so lazy. The 2 and half weeks off of work was great and I feel revitalised. Now it's time to get the ball rolling.
We are currently in discussion for a few local shows in the next little while. I know people have been asking, "When are you playing next?" and "Where do you guys play?" and so I will be able to tell everyone soon. The first bulletin using our new mailing list software will be sent out this week.
We are currently focusing in on a couple of tracks we will be using for our first new release. Our plan is to launch a CD single and a 45 vinyl single in a month to a month and a half time. That means our recording a mixing will be done by the end of the month.
If there are any of you out there that would like to remix some of the tracks for the new single please drop me a line at jake@wellcharged.com and we can discuss it further.
Now while I'm soliciting for remixers I might as well see if there are any visual artists out there that could help us create logos, poster art, T-shirts, banners, album art. This is a great opportunity for getting you art out to a large number of people. Even if you think you are not good enough we would be interested and seeing your stuff.
Now it's back to the real world. Take care and have a great New Year!
The band had a good last practice. We got a chance to work on some music we had in our back pockets. It was only until now that we had the chance to revisit some of the ideas we had stirring around.
I finally had a little time and was checking the statistics for the site. In the month of November the site average 8.17 people daily.
So I do have an audience. I'm going to have vamp up the subject matter a bit. I'm not sure how I'm going to do that yet but I'm sure I'll think of something.
The band had a good practice yesterday. Work on some new material. I'll will put up some snippets soon and give you guys a sample.
There were no updates this weekend because I had to work all weekend and that really put a damper on the enthusiam get on the net and write something witty.
I just went out and bought myself a ticket to see Ministry at Club Denim on Thursday. Nobody wanted to go with me so I got myself 1 ticket. I am hoping that it will be an excellent show. It's been a while since I seen them last. Probably right around 10 years. If somebody wants to go with me get yourself a ticket and let me know your going. It'll be nice to have someone to buy rounds with.
Well Charged had a good practice last night. Everyone is stepping up the effort a little. The challenge will be keeping it up but I have all the confidence in the world.
There are some new pictures on the gallery page and I will be adding more throughout the week. So keep an eye out.
Already 4 days into my webmastering and I didn't update the site yesterday but today I'm back on the horse with another update.
Last night the band had a studio session. Most catching up on band business. One thing that came up is that I forgot to inform everyone that doesn't know already that Well Charged is currently in the studio. We started in July as our last drummer Corey Wood was off to Montreal in the fall. Thanks to his effort and skill we managed to lay down all our drum tracks before he had to leave. Corey if you are out there please contact me, Jake, and let me know how to get a hold of you. I have some tracks for you to listen too.
Anyway, our new album is coming together. A lot of our basic rhythms have been laid down and now it's a matter of adding the horns, percussion and vocals. This is still going to take a while yet but when this product is done I am very confident it will be well worth the wait. I will slowly start providing a few samples for those of you curious enough to hear our songs progress.
Mikey got himself a new amp and is ready to laydown some wicked licks. He also picked up a nice maplewood (I think) Gibson. It's a sweet looking axe. We'll get some pictures up soon.
I should also let anyone out there know that Mikey has started his own guitar repair business, Guitar C.P.R. In the near future he will launch his website so can you can find out more about the services he offers. He's already done quite a few repairs and an excellent job with my bass fixing up my electronics. So if you have any guitar or amp work needing to be done give him a shout.
I find it quite amazing that everyone in the band has their own thing going. Winston has his store, Well Charged Music, I, Jake, have my studio, Purple Shag Studios, Mikey has his guitar repair and Aloz is so busy I don't even know what he does. Well Charged is lucky to have such a great combo of skills and resources available to the band.
I guess this update is making up for a few slack days so I will leave with a quote:
Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth. Charles A Dana
It's a rainy Saturday today and I have been sticking to my plan of updating this site everyday. I have added some adversiting for my recording studio, Purple Shag Studios. Now I am going to have to find some time to build up that site so it's usable.
I don't have much news today so I'll leave you all with another thought:
Livity: the essence of a living being showing it has life
Today is Friday and it's time to start to get some content on this site. My goal is to try to have something new on the site everyday. So I welcome contributions and suggestions that'll help mne keep my eye on this goal.
Work sucks. I haven't been able to get a day off in over 3 months and it's wearing on me. Now today they tell me this is critical and any day off has to be approved by my manager. I am slowly starting to feel the burn out happenning. My days are up and down but over time the down (and exhausting) days are growing. The stress level is pretty high here and a few people have displaced themselves from here due to this. I think I will be next but it will be on my terms and like death to a old and tired living creature, I will welcome it.
On a brighter note. I am nearing the completion of recording a great local artist Tiiu Millistver. When I get permission and a little time I will put on a few sample tracks to tickle your ears.
Ryan our new drummer has really excelled and fit into Well Charged nicely. We are now looking to book shows so we are on the hunt for promoters, booking agents and some good venues to bring our show to you. If anyone can help us with our booking or promoting we would very much welcome any contributions.
I've spent enought time throwing out some thought and have to get back to regular business. I will leave you with this:
Well Charged: Stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain.
